Atlantis | The Utopian Republic

Atlantis is an imaginary island discussed within an allegory on the hubris of countries in Plato's jobs Timaeus and Critias, where it represents the villain naval power that besieges "Ancient Athens", the pseudo-historic personification of Plato's suitable state. In the story, Athens had the ability to fend off the Atlantean attack, unlike other nation of the (western) known globe, supposedly offering testament to the superiority of Plato's idea of a state. At the end of the tale, Atlantis at some point befalls of favor with the gods and notoriously immerses right into the Atlantic Sea.
